AIKEN, SC -- CHRISTINE GUNTER CAPRELL, 86. beloved wife of N. L. Caprell, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken, Mrs. Caprell was a daughter of the late Elliot Bee and Camilla Kennedy Gunter. She was a lifelong member of St. John's United Methodist Church and was a long-time member of the choir. She was a member of the UMW Circle 10, Fellowship Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday School teacher.
Survivors, in addition to her husband of 65 years, include a daughter, Donna Caprell-Kraft (Robert), Aiken, a son, The Rev. Jim Caprell (Holly), Simpsonville, SC, two grandsons, Owen Caprell and Joshua Caprell, a sister Ruby Mangum, Summerville, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at St. John's United Methodist Church with The Rev.'s Keith Stewart and Neil Flowers officiating. Interment will follow in Bethcar Baptist Church Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class and WMU Circle 10.
The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
